Welcome to UV SBX

This Blog is for Back Country Skiers, Snowboarders, Snowshoers, Winter Campers and Rocket Sledders looking for others to take it slow on the way up and keep it safe on the way down.

My basic motivation for posting this site is to find others in the area who want to go into the back country in wintertime to do our thing. My hope is to create a network of geezers like me- and wannabes etc- so nobody has to go out and risk the dangers of back country skiing and boarding alone.

We'll post excursions and meeting places- and invite anyone who wants to come along. If you know somebody who might want to join us- please pass this along to them.

The concept started with UFX- our local Ultimate Frisbee pick up group- 7 years ago as a place for people to meet and play casual pick-up ultimate. Once the snow starts flying we don't play much ultimate- so this is our winter alternative.
